Canyon Rd; may require a cutthrough in the median and
enhanced crossing
treatments.
No change.

This trail would require
further analysis. An existing
trail is located here; but, given
the steep topography, the
proposed bikeway would have
approximately 10% grades on
average, on both the east side
and west side of the ridge. To
mitigate the grade, it would be
necessary to either provide
flat rest areas at 200-foot
intervals along the bikeway, or
provide additional switchbacks
along the route to reduce the
grade required for the route.
In addition to providing
switchbacks or resting areas,
the proposed route would
need to be analyzed in more
detail to ensure that the
proposed geometry is suitable
for the higher speeds
associated with long grades.
It may be necessary to provide
more gentle curves, and
forgiving roadsides, to lessen
the probability or severity of
run-off-the-road bike crashes.
No change.
