Special Budget Meeting - Wednesday, May 29, 2024 2:00 PM

Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 2:02 PM.

4. ORDER OF BUSINESS
4A. Approve the Budget and Personnel Committee Special Meeting Minutes for March 27,2024
No public comment received.
Upon motion by Councilmember Sofer and seconded by Mayor Carbone, the Budget and Personnel Committee voted 2-0 to approve the Budget and Personnel Committee Special Meeting minutes for March 27, 2024.
4B. Consideration of the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Proposed Budget and Recommendation of Approval to City Council
No public comment received.
Staff gave a presentation of the proposed budget for FY 2024-2025. The City Manager discussed a new budget book that staff have been working on that will be presented to the City Council at the June 4, 2024, Council Meeting.
Council Member Sofer and Mayor Carbone asked multiple questions including questions about capital improvement projects, grant funding, Unfunded Accrued Liability (UAL), and rental revenue.
Upon motion by Council Member Sofer and seconded by Mayor Carbone, the Budget and Personnel Committee voted 2-0 to recommend approval of the Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 to the City Council.
Councilmember Sofer and Mayor Carbone thanked Staff for their work on the FY 2024-2025 budget.
