Wehaveneededthistraffic stoplightfor manyyears. I believeyou'reawareof themultiplefatalitiesatthisintersectionovertheyears. I personallywasinvolvedinatrafficaccidentatthisintersectionin1991attheageof 16. I wasluckyenoughto survivewithafewscrapesbutcouldhavebeenseriouslyinjured. Thespeedof theoncomingtrafficthroughthis two-wayintersectionisverydangerous. My understandingisthemajorityof thefundinghasalreadybeen securedthroughlongtimeandongoingeffortsfor overtwentyyears.
