Minutes: Chairperson Bustos called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.

CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS
1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 5, 2024.
Recommended Action: Approve Minutes.
2. Excused Absences.
Recommended Action: Approve Excused Absences.
Minutes: Moved by Vice Chair Hernandez, seconded by Subcommittee Member Vazquez to Approve Consent Calendar Items 1 and 2.
The motion carried, 5-0, by the following roll call vote:

BUSINESS CALENDAR
3. Subcommittee Goals and Actions.
Recommended Action: Discuss.
Minutes: Chair Bustos lead the subcommittee in the discussion of the Subcommittee Goals and Actions.
Each Subcommittee member discussed, gave their input, and mentioned their goals for the Joint School Collaboration City Council Subcommittee.
SUBCOMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS
Minutes: Subcommittee Member Lopez mentioned city sponsored events.
Subcommittee Member Vazquez highlighted some wins and progress that they have had as a subcommittee.
Vice Chair Hernandez thanked city staff and school staff for attending the meeting, he also mentioned a recently restored mural, and is looking forward to the Fiestas Patrias event coming up.
Chair Bustos encouraged the subcommittee to attend the college and career fair at the zoo on Thursday.

7 City Manager Nuñez mentioned the Fiestas Patrias event on Sept 14th and 15th, the International Seniors Event on Saturday, Sept 27th, and the Mid Autumn Festival on October 5th.
ADJOURNMENT
The next Joint School Collaboration City Council Subcommittee Regular Meeting is scheduled for October 7, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber.
Minutes: Chairperson Bustos adjourned the meeting at 7:04 p.m.
