PURSUANTTOGOVERNMENTCODE § 54955.1, noticeis herebygiventhat theCity Council of the City of Santa Ana re-continued the publichearingoriginallynoticedfor April 1, 2025 and continuedto May 6, 2025 to June 3, 2025 to consider a Zoning OrdinanceAmendment (ZOA) No. 2024-02 and AmendmentApplication (AA) No. 2024- 03 to amendtheTransitZoningCode (SpecificDevelopment (SD) No. 84) zoningdistrict of Chapter41 (Zoning) of the SantaAnaMunicipalCodeandto amendtheCity’s Zoning Map. The proposedamendmentsincluderemovalof industrialusesfromthe permitted usestable, updatesto the nonconformingregulations, a newamortizationprocess, and new operational standards applicable to businesses within the zoning district. The proposal also includes removingthe Light Industrial (M1) and Heavy Industrial (M2) suffixesfromcertainpropertieswithinthe SD-84 zoningdistrict, as shownon the City’s ZoningMap.
ProjectLocation: TheareawithintheTransitZoningCode/SpecificDevelopment (SD) No. 84 ZoningDistrict, as depictedin the attachedmap.
EnvironmentalImpact: In accordancewith the CaliforniaEnvironmentalQuality Act CEQA) andthe CEQAGuidelines, an addendumhasbeenpreparedto theCityof Santa Ana’s TransitZoningCode (SD-84) EnvironmentalImpactReport (EIR) to demonstrate that, pursuantto thestandardscontainedin CEQAGuidelinesSection15162, thisproject is within the scope of the Transit Zoning Code (SD-84) EIR No. 2006-02, State Clearinghouse (SCH) No. 2006071100, certified by the City of SantaAna on June 7, 2010. The Transit Zoning Code (SD-84) EIR fully analyzed the potential impacts associatedwiththe proposedcodeamendments. This is consistentwithSection8.06 of the City’s LocalGuidelinesfor ImplementingCEQA.
