Many concerns with this committee. Let' s start with where is the money coming from to pay the five Santa Ana Council members, who just gave themselves a 25% pay raise. Which goes in effect in October. These 5 Council members will be making more money then the Governor of California. In case you need to understand the Train Robbery that just took place. The average person that works full time for City, County or State, gets a 4- 7% pay increase annually. Based on average. The Fabulous 5 just gave themselves a 25% pay raise. Starting in October of this year. Average salary for the Fabulous 5 will be$ 252,000 a year. A$ 48, 000 dollar annual raise. WTF is going on. Let me tell everyone what' s going on. The Fabulous 5 just lost their re- election hopes. Then we can refer them as the " F** KED FOREVER FIVE" STRONG ADVICE FROM THE PUPLIC . PUT YOUR HOUSES ON THE MARKET NOW. SO ON ELECTON NIGHT, YOU CAN GET
IN YOUR U- HAULS AND GET OUT OF TOWN IN A HURRAY

does Santa Ana Police Union sway city council?
Yes, the Santa Ana Police Officers Association ( SAPOA) has been accused of significantly influencing the Santa Ana City Council' s decisions, particularly regarding police department budgets and contracts. Reports indicate the union has used its financial resources to support candidates favorable to its agenda and has been accused of attempting to coerce council members into supporting its priorities. 1 Let' s be Part of the Solution not the source of the Problem I will keep this short without a long explanation on each point. So short and to the point. I did read the Constitution of the US. You will see that the Federal Government has Supremacy over the States went it comes to Federal Law and responsibly for Immigration So ICE is going anywhere unless the Fed say so. So the solution to me is Citizenship. But the present policies/ regulations need to be improved. So I am asking the City Council to instruct the City Manger to write a letter to the two US Representatives and US Senators in support to revamp our Federal Immigration policies and path to US Citizenship. The changes I would recommend would be as follows;
1) Path to Citizenship for anyone who has been in the county for 10 years+ and proven to be a citizen by commenting no crimes, prove they have payed taxes and or benefited the community.
2) Anyone who does service or have service in the US Military receives Citizenship a pond an honorable discharge from the Service
3) With all methods available the vending of an Individual should be reduced to months not years as presently.
4) Review the present yearly quotes allowed for new citizens per County by reviewed. I am sure they need to be increased for some and decrease for others.
These increases could be a period of time then returned to present numbers. This could be one of the reason for the long delays example is the U- Visa program. The yearly limit is 10, 000 people per year. There is presently an eight year back log. So as of today 80, 000 people that have qualified for a visa but have to wait. 5) Anyone who has applied for Citizenship is exempt from deportation until case is resolved. Again that resolution should be in months not years. 6) 1 would make this offer for a five year period. Anyone who does not apply could be subject to deportation.
I talked to Lou Correa during his visit to Santa Ana on June 21. He is in support but letter from Council would help. Also on the news this weekend were a group of members of Congress interest in revamping the immigration laws. So there is support in Congress. Remember" US Citizenship Matters" and the longest journey starts with the first step. Lets us in Santa Ana take that first step.
