RECOMMENDED ACTION
Designate a voting delegate and up to two alternates for the Cal Cities Annual Conference General Assembly on Friday, October 10, 2025.

DISCUSSION
The League of California Cities (Cal Cities) 2025 Annual Conference and Expo is scheduled to take place in Long Beach October 8 – 10, 2025. Of particular significance at the conference is the General Assembly Meeting, where Cal Cities provides member cities, like the City of Santa Ana, an opportunity to consider and act on resolutions that establish Cal Cities policy.
Cal Cities bylaws indicate that each city is entitled to one vote to take a position on matters affecting municipal or Cal Cities policy. To expedite the conduct of business, every city is required to designate a voting representative and up to two alternates who will represent the City at the League General Assembly (Exhibit 1). These designations must be made by City Council action.
