CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Randy Rowse called the meeting to order at 9:30 a. m.

Councilmembers present: Eric Friedman, Oscar Gutierrez (9:40 a. m. ), Mike Jordan, Wendy Santamaria, Kristen W. Sneddon, Mayor Randy Rowse.
Councilmembers absent: Meagan Harmon.
Staff present: City Administrator Kelly McAdoo, City Attorney Sarah J. Knecht, and Deputy City Clerk Caitlin Colyer.
CouncilmemberSantamaria stated that she was recusing herself from Item No. 4 pending determination from the Fair Political Practices Commission due to potential conflict of interest concerning the Santa Barbara City Firefighters Association since that bargaining unit is an AFL-CIO member as is my current employer AFSCME.
RECESS
Mayor Rowse recessed to closed session at 9:33 a. m. and stated that no reportable action is anticipated.

Recommendation: That Council hold a closed session to consider significant exposure to litigation (one potential case) pursuant to Government Code Section 54956. 9(d)(2) & (e)(3) and take appropriate action as needed.
The anticipated litigation is based upon significant exposure arising out of the claim filed on October 1 1, 2024, through the law firm of Christina A. Humphrey; a copy is on file with the City Clerk's office.
