Subject: Safety concern regarding stolen packages at Nuevo community Dear Mayor Lisa, Vice Mayor Raj Chahal, and Santa Clara council members, This is Deokwoo Jung,
purchased and moved into 3435 Copper Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95051 last year Apr, and have been a resident at Nuevo community since then.
have seen lots of support from Santa Clara City in the development of this community under the Lawrence station project since then, and I have been happy to be part of the community.
However, since November 2021, I have been suddenly witnessing lots of thefts and suspicious activities around the Nuevo community, which raised me security and safety concerns. can see lots of neighbors around me sharing /reporting thieves who keep stealing packages around the neighborhood since november 2021.
also have a package from iRobot stolen last year.
A number of times , I saw a person keep following an Amazon delivery truck with a bicycle ,and then theft happened around this community.
Regardless of our effort to keep our neighborhood safe such as making police reports, those theft activities only grow and destroy neighborhoods unless Santa Clara City proactively acts on these safety and theft concerns. decided to be a part of this community as I believed in the vision of the Lawrence Station project laid out by Santa Clara city 4 years ago.
hope that this issue is actively discussed during the city meetings this year.
