have been a resident of Santa Clara County for over 50 years. My family and I have enjoyed participating in BMX racing at SCPAL BMX for the past 12 years. I strongly support the current track management team. To replace them, based on the opinions of a PAL Board that does not attend or support the track, is a huge mistake.

Volunteers such as these should be valued, not chased off. Support the racers of Santa Clara and beyond.

Please resolve to reopen the track with the current management team.

stand in support/solidarity w/the current SCPALBMX Track Mngmt Team. 7yrs, SCPALBMX has been our dedicated home track 3x/wk for my daughter &son. The team comfits their days/weekends to our racing community; growing the sport, coaching, educating bike safety &racing &encouraging every rider regardless of skill level, age or gender. They're the embodiment of sportsmanship &leadership. Support your community, riders &children and bring a resolution that will reopen our beloved track home Agenda Item: eComments for 2. 22-105 Study Session on the Fiscal Year 2022/23 Municipal Fee Schedule and Parks & Recreation Cost Recovery Policy

Re: Santa Clara PAL BMX Track Closure
Hello, my name is Cesar Verceluz and I am submitting this brief comment to serve as my voice of opposition in regards to the closure of the Santa Clara PAL BMX track. I will attest my support to the current track operators Nick Valencia, Joey Bixler, and Marisa Sereni and the great program they run alongside usabmx for the benefit of the community most especially for tthe kids. I wish for the SCPAL track to reopen immediately &reconsider current management.

write to support the track and volunteer operators of SC PAL BMX. Our family has been going since our son started riding almost a year ago. The volunteers welcomed us into an inclusive and supportive family environment. Now my daughter and I also ride and through bmx we challenge ourselves and have fun together.

Now with the track closed, we can't ride unless we drive at least an hour and half which is difficult at best. I am confident that arrangements can be made that will ensure continuity.

Dear Santa Clara City Council,
plead with you to reopen Santa Clara PAL BMX track ASAP. Our children, at the age of 9, 6 and 3, are all active participants of the track and its programs. We have reshaped our lifestyle to center around the track. We travel to Santa Clara and support the local economy purely based the track location and our love of the sport.

Thank you for listening.

BMX and Coach Nick have taught my kids so many valuable lessons. BMX helps my family bond by doing what we all love. How do I console 3 children who cry because their lives have been flipped upside down? We've gone from racing 3x week to driving over an hour to race once a week. Please put the KIDS first and reopen the track with USABMX so we can continue to stay competitive in the sport and earn USA BMX points/rankings and get our kids back into doing what they love.

Please reopen the Santa Clara pal BMX track for racing soon!! It was great the way for the kids to practice and improve by racing! My 6 year oid and 3 year old race there 3 times every week for the last year. They are very sad that the track is closed and they don't have a place to race. It is really important that the track is not only open but can also hold races! It was on of the things that made Santa Clara a great place to live.

am pleading with you to do everything you can do to ensure that Santa Clara PAL BMX reopens with the current management team still in place. Nick and his team have never been anything but amazing to my kids and their experience over the four years we have been racing. We need to get back to our home track, our community and our second family and our kids need to get back to what they love the most. So please I'm begging that you put politics aside and do what's best for our children.

Please reopen the track! it was great the way it used to be. My 6 year old has been racing there almost every week for the last half year or so. It was one of the few things that kept us sane and healthy during the pandemic.

He has been working hard and is very sad that the track is closed. I feel bad for the 100s of other people that can't ride. It was on of the things that made Santa Clara a great place to live.

Requesting you all to reopen SCPaI track sanctioned by USABMX. The closure is keeping the kids away from being able to participate in one of the best BMX programs across the country. Rider base at the SCPAL BMX is huge and has a potential for producing some of the best racers in the sport. The team running the program is amazing and have been very consistent in promoting the sport across Santa Clara county and beyond. We request SCPaI team to work with USA BMX and reopen the track immediately.

My daughters and husband ride at SC BMX, and it has been wonderful for them to share something that they all love. We are out 3x a week, my 8 year old has been working hard and showing great improvement. SC PAL BMX program is operated by amazing people who truly care about these kids. Please open SC PAL BMX under USABMX sanction. This has been a wonderful outlet for my kids, and we have been grateful to be a part of this community.

Please reopen the USA BMX sanctioned track at Santa Clara PAL ASAP. The Santa Clara PAL BMX program is operated by some amazing people who genuinely care about the racers at the track. There is no reason the track cannot be reopened. It is hurting the kids, and their abilities to race and be coached by some amazing talent. You have an opportunity here to bring back the track immediately, and allow the track operators to do continue to make Santa Clara PAL BMX an amazing program.

Raj Batra, based on reports of prior performance, doesn't like hard work and, besides, as a pensioner, won't be able to work more than part time. So, if the Council wants to hire an ineffective manager, this is definitely the way to go. But, if the city wants to hire an effective, full time manager for less than the former manager, the city might check someone like Jaime Fontes - whom I do not know personally - as he steps down from an exceedingly effective term with East Palo Alto.

Catalyze SV would like to thank Vice Mayor Jain for his call to increase outreach to community members impacted by local development as an organization committed to inclusive, transparent &collaborative community engagement. We also see community members frequently out of the loop on major development decisions because of the radius of stakeholders informed about projects. Our volunteers identified this as an important way to enhance public engagement.
