hereby request that item 5C be pulled from Consent and Council Member Parl< abstain on the motion.

W hy?
W e still have not had full disclosure of a May 17th email of last year from Jay Reed explaining to Parl< that he is still trying to get 49er money for Parl<.

Committee which is still under investigation by FPPC had been terminated.

So Reed was attempting with Parl<'s Knowledge to get 49er money Until that has been resolved, Pari< has no business voting on 49er issues,.

Also, Park agreed with Reed to engage Pete Constant to interfere with the contract between the city and the 49ers, a violation of the Brown Act.

Constant cannot by law be given private details regarding closed session matters. Parl< was trying to violate Charter Section 807 by engaging a non staff member in city manager issues.

A further CPRA 22-468 has been filed. Therefore Pari< is conflicted.

Email Reveals Santa Clara Councilman Kevin Park's Political Consultant Asked 49ers for Monet/ to Help Park—Santa Clara News Online

To: Mayor and Council; Raj Chahal; [email protected]; Kathy Watanabe; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Levi Stadium Sign and Regrouping Funds
am totally against adding any more funds to the Levi Strauss Sign repairs. If $250,000 is what has been in the contract, why would
Councilmen Becker and Park want to add an additiional $420,000? That additional funds should be in our General Fund.

If Levi Strauss wants a new stadium sign, let them pay for it. keep hearing the councilmembers say they are on the council to represent the community of Santa Clara and and that community seems to be the 49ers. Shame on Councilmen Becker and Park and they other members of the 49er Five if they support this recommendation.

Again if Levi Strauss wants a new sign, they certainly have the money to buy it.

The Council talks about recouping funds from different city departments. I address the Senior Center specifically. When the Senior Center
reopened in Februay 2007, the intent was to make expenses as reasonable as possible for our Senior Citizens. In today's economy,
think we should maintain a fee structure that enables our Senior residents to participate in classes. The Senior Center represents
the only socialization many of our Seniors have available. To add additional fees is unfair and contradicts the intent of the reopening in 2007.

If the 49er Five want to throw $420,000 to their benefactors, (49ers), there is certainly funds to maintain low cost fees for the Senior Center
and other Community Recreation facilities.

The 49er Five, Becker, Park, Hardy, Jain and Chahal have made the City of Santa Clara look like a poorly run city. Actually worse than that. No one wants to be our City Attorney or our City Manager. What a black period in the history of our beljoved city. Santa Clara used to represent integrity.and commitment to community. NO MORE! Carolyn McAllister
