RESOLUTION NO. 22-9123
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA,
CALIFORNIA, SANTA CLARA STADIUM AUTHORITY, SPORTS
AND OPEN SPACE AUTHORITY, AND HOUSING AUTHORITY
("COUNCIL AND AUTHORITIES") DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO
THE CITY MANAGER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AND CONTRACT
ADMINISTRATOR OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
ON BEHALF OF THE COUNCIL AND AUTHORITIES DURING
THE RECESS BETWEEN JULY 13, 2022 AND AUGUST 15, 2022
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, SANTA CLARA STADIUM
AUTHORITY, SPORTS AND OPEN SPACE AUTHORITY, AND HOUSING AUTHORITY AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clara's City Council, Santa Clara Stadium Authority, Sports and Open Space Authority, and Housing Authority ("Council and Authorities") have specific purchasing policies or ordinances, and all other agreements and actions not specifically delegated by the City Code or other formal action must be considered and approved by Council or Boards of the Authorities;
WHEREAS, the Council and Authorities do not have any meetings scheduled between July 13, 2022 and August 15, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, specific actions will be needed in order to ensure projects will stay on schedule and services will not interrupted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA,
SANTA CLARA STADIUM AUTHORITY, SPORTS AND OPEN SPACE AUTHORITY, AND HOUSING AUTHORITY AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Manager, Executive Director, and Contract Administrator or designee is hereby authorized to consider, approve, and execute contracts and other administrative matters needed for the on-going operation of the City within existing budgetary appropriations during the scheduled recess between July 13, 2022, and August 15, 2022 II

2. That the City Manager, Executive Director, and Contract Administrator shall provide a report to the City Council regarding the actions taken under this Resolution at a City Council Meeting in September 2022.
3. Effective date. This resolution shall become effective immediately .

AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA , SANTA CLARA STADIUM
