Can't believe how many tax-paying residents are willing to pay for Gillmor's lawsuits. Haven't we paid enough for her mistakes? The stadium that SHE brought is here, and it's not going away. She made a mistake by voting for it and she can't even own up to that. Instead, she points the finger as if she has had nothing to do with the situation she put us all in.

The current council must make a decision that cuts needless spending now for their residents.

I support the attempt to drop the City of Santa Clara's lawsuit with the 49ers for MERE "millions.' Gillmor has already spent millions of tax payers money on other lawsuits. We cannot afford to pay for her personal vendetta against the Niners for Lord knows how long. I am done watching her combat and complain about something she brought into the city; then making it the tax payer's problem. Such a politician, like Gillmor, does not deserve her position on the City Council. She needs to grow up.

I oppose the attempt to drop the City of Santa Clara's lawsuit with the 49ers for mere "millions.' Any politician who supports funneling citizens' tax money from the City to a sports team does not have Santa Clara's interests at heart. Such a politician does not deserve his or her position on the City Council.

While Los Angeles plans to recycle 100% of the city's waste water by 2035, Valley Water merely commits to doubling recycled waste water from 5% to 10% by 2040. Given California's ongoing drought, exacerbated by climate change, we should do more. The City of Santa Clara should seize this opportunity to take the lead in recycling waste water. Imagine what farmers, home owners, wildlife and urbanites might manage with millions more gallons of potable water every day. Seize this opportunity.

Please ask City Staff to include wording for berms, swales, surface water-sinks, and adequate vegetation in their design standards. With climate change California will experience prolonged hot and dry conditions, punctuated by atmospheric rivers that may lead to short, intense periods of flooding. Greenery helps reduce heat, while surface water swales and sinks help both to store precious water and reduce flooding.

Could the mayor or city lawyer explain why Mr. Patrick was sworn in while his candidacy application is still under review? That's the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. No one in the real world gets hired before a background check. Why is the city throwing checks and balances out the window? It makes me wonder who else city staff hired right under our noses. And the fact that Gillmor and Watanabe don't bat an eye, but rather refuse to investigate.. is absolutely absurd. Investigate them too John Galt

It seems Mayor Gillmor and Watanabe are fine with lying on applications. Sounds familiar, like how Gillmor’s property management company violated state labor laws by failing to pay prevailing wages to contractors at an affordable housing site for teachers. Of course they both support likeminded people and encourage them to apply.

Y es he's qualified - qualified at where he originally wrote on his application. Gillmor always bends and changes the rules at her whim for those she wants by her side.

I support discussing the San Tomas Creek Trail with the Water District so long as discussions work to meet Santa Clara County's One Water Plan. This includes sections D3-D6 for restoring natural creek functions while mitigating flooding. Specifically, 2017 USGS research states that California climate change includes prolonged drought punctuated by possible megafloods. We need to preserve fresh water while simultaneously providing sinks for flooding, e.g. creek banks may need to be widened.

I am writing in support of discussing the San Tomas Creek Trail, with the condition that the discussion include exploration of rebuilding the trail to eliminate grade crossings of the trail with the pedestrian bridges leading into Levi's Stadium. The current practice of trail closures disrupts the use of the trail by commuters and the many people who use it for recreational use. This interference was never identified as an impact in the Stadium EIR. It should be remedied. B. Doyle
