WRITTEN REQUEST
1, Suds Jain , hereby request that the following item be placed on the City of Santa Clara Council and Authorities Concurrent meeting agenda:
On March 22, 2022, the Patrick Henry Drive Specific Area Plan will be on the agenda for Council Action.
I was surprised that the noticing for the specific plan was only 500 feet considering that large number of residents beyond 500 feet.
From the Council Packet Resolution:
WHEREAS, notices of the public hearing on the proposed Specific Plan were mailed to all property owners within 500 feet of the Project Site, according to the most recent assessor's roll, and to all local agencies expected to provide essential facilities or services to the project, on January 13, 2022
I am asking to put on the agenda a discussion of how to change the noticing policy so as to reach more people. It could be based on reaching a certain number of people or could have a different radius of notification based on the size of the project. This could be a study session or a staff proposal which Council can consider adopting.
