Dear Santa Clara City Council, on behalf of the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, (CalOES), please share with your communities the Early Earthquake System we have here in CA and the importance of Santa Clara residents downloading the MyShake app. The UC Berkeley Seismology Lab developed the app which gives crucial seconds of warning before an earthquake strikes to save lives. Please read this comment into the record during the Council meeting. These attachments barely qualify as agendas, let alone minutes. There has been a lot of discussion about the quality of minutes capturing the content of meetings. The council has specifically talked about these stadium meetings needing to be memorialized to enhance the transparency of the content of these meetings. Please require that more meaningful minutes be kept. These do not qualify as minutes!
