Tho Conter of What's Possible
Proposed Structure
• If Council directs the formation of a Neighborhood Stadium Relations Committee/Commission/Taskforce, staff seeks input and guidance on:
- What is the Committee's Structure?
• Board Committee: Formal forum of Board members
• Commission: Formal, ongoing forum of residents (requires Ordinance)
• Taskforce: Informal, temporary structure with flexible membership (e.g., could include stakeholders beyond
residents)

2 City of
Santa Clara
Proposed Structure
Who are the members of the Committee?
• Appointment of Board members
• Nomination of residents and/or other stakeholders
• Open membership of residents and/or other stakeholders • Potential stakeholders could include Stadium Manager and business owners in the neighborhood adjacent to Levi's Stadium 5 City of

Proposed Structure
Other Formation Questions:
- What is the goal/objective of the Committee?
- What is the scope of work or how will that be determined? - How often should the Committee meet?
- What should the duration of the Committee be (for a specific time period or indefinitely) and what should be the term of the members, if applicable
3 City of
Santa Clara
Current/Ongoing Efforts for Events
• Dedicated phone line for Stadium-related issues (PD/CMO) • Noise monitoring system (CDD)
• Neighborhood presence (PD)
• Proactive outreach to hotels, businesses, and residents (PD) • Distribution of informational magnets to residents (PD) • Social media notifications regarding Stadium events and impacts (PD) • Follow up and response to community complaints (PD/CMO) • Working collaboratively with Stadium Manager to address issues and develop long term solutions (PD/CMO)
City of

The Center of What's Possible
Staffing
• 14 staff from various departments will likely need to participate and/or provide support outside of meetings.
• Based on the assumption of 4 meetings per year, this is equivalent to
0.38 FTE, 790 hours, and $160,100 in salary and benefits. • Support includes agenda preparation and management, meeting participation, pre and post meeting research and follow up, and preparation of minutes.
Calculation of Average Staff Time
790 hrs/14 staff = ~56 hrs of support per staff on annual basis 56 hrs/4 meetings a year = ~14 hrs of support per staff per meeting 8 4
