Project Description
On June 10, 2023, Santa Clara University will be holding it's 57h Annual Golden Circle Theatre Party. This long-established event is noted to be a premier event in the Valley, attended by University supporters and leaders in the community. Traditionally, this event takes place in downtown San Jose (the Center for Performing Arts and the former Fairmont Hotel). The Golden Circle skipped a year during COVID, and last year held the event on campus, knowing an indoor event would be difficult if not impossible. With the lingering pandemic, the Board of Fellows Executive Committee felt the guests would be more comfortable participating in an all- outdoor venue, once again. (Next years event will return to downtown San Jose on January 27, 2024). In 57 years, this on-campus event will be the forth time the event is held on campus, in addition to the Super Bowl 50 Celebration with a Huey Lewis concert.

While this is a major fundraiser for the University with an expectation of raising almost $2 million in donations, it is also an opportunity to celebrate with the students, faculty and staff after the challenging covid years on campus.

Attendance counts:

There are currently 1420 guests registered for the event. (tickets range from $600 to $5,000 per ticket) Demographics for those who purchase the tickets range from 40 to 85 years old.

Anticipated student attendees (as guests of the Board of Fellows) is similar to last years count of just under 1,000.

Anticipated faculty and staff attendance are approximately 400 (also guests of the Board of Fellows)
This is a private event. Invitation only and not publicly advertised. Tickets and wristbands are required for all guests throughout the evening. Alcohol will not be sold but will be served with dinner and dessert.

Those arriving by car have been instructed and will be directed to park in the Parking Structures located on campus.
