Please state reasons why you want to become a member of this Board/Commission/Committee, including what specific objectives you would be working toward as a member of this advisory board:
I served on the board for 11 years. (2 full terms & 1 partial term, 11 months) I would like to finish the job on making the indoor sculpture exhibition year round, with little cost to the City.
While a commissioner, I began the Sculpture Exhibition, the electrical box project, the Summer Street Dance & the Art in the AIr street banner project. I would like to work more closely with the Triton museum, as well.

There are 2 of my painted electrical boxes in the City. The Flower basket box in front of the entrance to Kaiser Hospital and a Cheerleading box in front of Levi Stadium. I was on the board that chose the Public art for the Main Public Library.
I am a go getter, love the Arts & will make Santa Clara through the Cultural Commission a more beautiful place to live. A little art education along the way will our citizens, as well.

Resee stute reasons why you want to become a nember of is Canission inching what spacific joves you would be working toward as a minter of tis advisory board My goal is to provide diversity and different viewpoints to the commission and provide suggestions and recommendations for cultural, technical, and sports evants. It is very fortunate that I'm living in the City of Santa Clara, which hosts many interesting cultural, educational, and technical activities (i.e., Home Holiday decoration contest, summer camp open house, utilty box art program, summer concert, tree lighting,...and more!). Currently, 'm a volunteer Room Parent at my kid's elementary school, a helper at my kid's Tech Challenge team, and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. I can share my experiences while working with other groups and organizations. I also have a close friend who lives in Santa Clara and is a descendant of Ireland.

Thus, I can be a role model and a guide for the new and existing immigrants to Santa Clara.
Born and brought up in Kenya, I closely experienced African culture and society. In my younger age I moved to India.
India is not only a land of geographic diversity but every state has its own unique language. food, costumes, art, and dance. India's multiculturalism taught me how to maintain Unity in Diversity and adaptivity.
Later, life gave me an opportunity to immigrate to the United States, and the city of Santa Clara being my first home. Working in a leadership position at a Child Care Center, I got an opportunity to be a part of a staff that were first generation immigrants from 13 different, countries and families coming from various social, economic, and ethnicities. It gave me a bigger opportunity and challenge in understanding their social, cultural, and economic diversities. My belief, multiculturalism values and faith: One World One Family, helped me succeed in providing an atmosphere full of love, care, and compassion, My objectives working as a member of advisory board would be:

Fame stata rassons why you want to become a menber of this Canission, including whit spotic jectives you would be working low ind as a men bor of this advisory board I an actively involved in the Latino and Native American Communities as a cultural and technology leader. I have been researching the true history of California for the past few years including reading original Spanish documents from Mexico and early California. My research includes the Afro Mexican pioneers from Northern Mexico.
They were mambers of the original settlers from Mexico. The history of the contribution of the Latino populations are vastly under-reported.
I have also been documenting the location of native villages in California. The native village locations need to be commemorated as initial settlements in California.
Santa Clara and adjoining areas particularly along the Guadalupe river contained many native villages. These are culturally relevant archaeological sites.
The contributions of many immigrant communities are under-reported as well. Many Asian communities were instrumental in the development of California's economy.
Santa Clara University area has a rich history with the indigenous and Latino populations. Santa Clara has a rich multicultural history.

My innovations include designing new digital and electrical infrastructure on brownfield sites using containers for equipmant and energy storage. These sites will benefit the data center and industrial sectors of California as well as improve the wealth and health of disadvantaged communities.
I would like to be considered for the Historical Commission as well.

My profession is to help and enabla all kinds of organizations to use the most advanced technologies. I help multiple leams of organizations to analyze their operations and associated risks, and only then select a cybersecurity solution. This has helped my observation and analytical capability to find unanimously acceptable solutions.
By observing a few incidents in the community closely. I have concluded that mambers of this diverse community have yet to learn a fot about each other. It is due to hesitation in sharing good old values, or lack of open communication.
