Thank you Jacob Sterling Silver
Hello we are a new non-profit serving Veterans. We focus on combating isolation Jacob Sterling Silver (925) 727-6109 suasqrf.org [email protected] Los Altos CA 501c3 EIN# 88-3249428
Thank you for letting me address a critical issue that affects the lives of our brave veterans and military personnel. Today, we stand united in our commitment to combat the alarming rates of isolation and suicide among those who have selflessly served our nation.
It is with a heavy heart that I bring to your attention the growing epidemic of veteran and military isolation suicide, a crisis that demands our immediate attention and action. Our heroes, who have sacrificed so much for our freedom and security, are facing unimaginable challenges when they return to civilian life. The transition from the battlefield to everyday life can be overwhelming, leaving many feeling disconnected, alone, and without a sense of purpose.
The statistics are staggering. Every day, we lose an average of 22 veterans and military personnel to suicide. Over 30,000 Post 9/11. These brave men and women, who have fought for our freedom, are now fighting a silent battle within themselves. They deserve better, and it is our duty as a grateful nation to provide them with the support they need.
That is why today, I am proud to announce the launch of the S.U.A.S. Veteran Crisis Q.R.F. (Shut up and serve veteran crisis quick reaction force) Unique treatment program. We work to just be there for them. With a "no excuse not to get out of the house" approach. To help them reconnect, rebuild their warrior community and thrive.
The SUAS Treatment program will take a holistic approach to care, recognizing that mental health is just as important as physical health. Through a combination of Outdoor therapy, peer support, we will create a Fun environment for our heroes to share their experiences, find solace in each other's company, and rebuild the sense of camaraderie they once had.
Furthermore, we will work hand in hand with local communities, organizations, and businesses to create opportunities for veterans and military personnel to reintegrate into society. By providing BBQs, Camping,Hunting, Fishing, Range Days, Surfing, Hiking, and mentorship programs, we will empower them to rediscover their purpose and contribute meaningfully to their communities once again.
But we cannot do this alone. We need your support, your compassion, and your dedication to make a difference. Together, we can break the cycle of isolation and suicide that plagues our heroes. Whether it's volunteering your time, making a donation, or simply lending an empathetic ear, every action, no matter how small, can save a life.
In conclusion, let us remember the words of President Abraham Lincoln, who once said, "Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country's cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as best he can, the same cause." Today, we have the opportunity to honor our heroes and serve them in their time of need.
Together, let us stand as a united front against veteran and military isolation suicide. Let us show our gratitude, our compassion, and our unwavering support for those who have sacrificed so much for us.
Thank you, and may we never forget the debt we owe to our veterans and military personnel.
