RESOLUTION NO. 24-9344
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA,
MODIFYING PARKING REGULATIONS ON CECIL AVENUE
BETWEEN HENRY AVENUE AND DORCICH STREET
WHEREAS, the City established certain parking regulations on Cecil Avenue between North Henry Avenue and Dorcich Street;
WHEREAS, certain property owners expressing concerns regarding parking problems and street cleanliness requested City staff to modify parking regulations on Cecil Avenue between North Henry Avenue and Dorcich Street;
WHEREAS, City Traffic Engineering staff surveyed all property owners and occupants affected by the request and determined that modifying the existing parking regulations would best accommodate these affected properties for improved safety, parking conditions and quality of life; WHEREAS, the City intends to repeal the existing parking regulations on Cecil Avenue between North Henry Avenue and Dorcich Street; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to establish new parking regulations on Cecil Avenue between North Henry Avenue and Dorcich Street based on a survey of all affected property owners in the area; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Resolution No. 7199 is hereby repealed.
2. That Section 3(b) of Resolution No. 6780 is amended to read the following:
a. on both sides of Cecil Street from the west curb of North Henry Avenue to a point 235 feet west of the west curb of North Henry Drive.
3. That there is hereby established a 1-Hour Parking zone, all day, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays excepted along the north curb of Cecil Avenue from the east curb of North Henry Avenue to a point 97 feet east of the east curb of North Henry Avenue.
4. That there is hereby established a 2-Hour Parking zone, all day, Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays excepted along the north curb of Cecil Avenue from a point 97 feet east of the east curb of North Henry Avenue to the south curb of Dorcich Street.
5. That there is hereby established a No Parking zone, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. any day along the south curb of Cecil Avenue between the east curb of North Henry Avenue and the south curb of Dorcich Street.
6. Effective date . This resolution shall become effective immediately .

AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA , CALIFORNIA , AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF HELD ON THE 16TH DAY OF JULY, 2024, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
