Funds
Use of
Funds Explanation
Generation Capital
Maintenance and Betterments
(500,000) This action decreases the Generation Capital
Maintenance and Betterments project by $500,000
(from $2,387,097 to $1,887,097) to reallocate
funding to the Major Engine Overhaul and Repair
project to complete a maintenance repair and rotor
swap for an engine at Gianera Generation Facility.

The Generation Capital Maintenance and
Betterments project sets aside a portion of funding
for unanticipated work, which is recommended to be
reallocated for the maintenance identified in the
Major Engine Overhaul and Repair project. Work
identified within the Generation Capital Maintenance
and Betterments project will still be completed as
scheduled (majority affirmative Council votes
required).

Major Engine Overhaul and
Repair
500,000 This action increases the Major Engine Overhaul and Repair project by $500,000 (from $5,198,330 to
$5,698,330) reallocated from the Generation Capital
Maintenance and Betterments project to complete a
maintenance repair and rotor swap for an engine at
Gianera Generation Facility. This work was
identified during a scheduled inspection and
maintenance is anticipated to be performed during
the next planned outage (majority affirmative
Council votes required).

Developer Contributions (Fiber
Development, Design, and
Expansion project) /
Unrestricted Ending Fund
Balance
(17,396) (17,396) This action decreases the Other Revenue Developer Contributions revenue estimate to
reconcile revenues received. Revenues were
previously received in FY 2023/24 and this action
was inadvertently excluded from the FY 2023/24
Year End Close report to decrease the revenue
carryforward. Excess revenues were attributed to
the fund balance but should have decreased the
remaining anticipated revenue instead (majority
affirmative Council votes required).

Refurbishment project
33,000 33,000 This action recognizes a transfer from the General Fund Capital Projects Reserve and increases the
Emergency Operations Center Capital
Refurbishment project. Additional funding of
$33,000 is needed to cover the unanticipated cost
to replace the water heater in the Emergency
Operations Center (EOC). The current unit is not
operating properly, resulting in the presence of rust
in the water. The unit is 24 years old and is obsolete
with parts to repair the water heater unavailable.

This replacement is critical in preparation for EOC
activation during emergencies, especially in
anticipation of upcoming large events such as the
Super Bowl and FIFA World Cup (five affirmative
Council votes required to appropriate additional
revenue).
