A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA,
ESTABLISHING NO PARKING ZONES AS NECESSARY ON DE
LA CRUZ BOULEVARD BETWEEN MONTAGUE EXPRESSWAY
AND WEST TRIMBLE ROAD, LICK MILL BOULEVARD BETWEEN
TASMAN DRIVE AND MONTAGUE EXPRESSWAY, AND SCOTT
BOULEVARD BETWEEN MONROE STREET AND SARATOGA
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clara Bicycle Plan Update 2018 was approved and adopted by the Council on September 24, 2019 under Resolution No. 19-8761; WHEREAS, Class II Bicycle Lanes and Class IV Separated Bicycle Lanes on De La Cruz Boulevard, Class IV Separated Bicycle Lanes on Lick Mill Boulevard, and Class IIB Buffered Bicycle Lanes and Class II Bicycle Lanes on Scott Boulevard were recommendations within the adopted Bicycle Plan Update 2018;
WHEREAS, the City established certain parking regulations on De La Cruz Boulevard between Montague Expressway and West Trimble Road, Lick Mill Boulevard between Tasman Drive and Montague Expressway, and Scott Boulevard between Monroe Street and Saratoga Avenue; WHEREAS, Public Works staff determined that a modification to the existing parking regulations is necessary to accommodate the proposed bicycle facilities on De La Cruz Boulevard, Lick Mill Boulevard, and Scott Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City intends to establish new parking regulations on De La Cruz Boulevard between Montague Expressway and West Trimble Road, Lick Mill Boulevard between Tasman Drive and Montague Expressway, and Scott Boulevard between Monroe Street and Saratoga Avenue based on City Public Works staff findings.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to establish no parking zones as necessary on De La Cruz Boulevard between Montague Expressway and West Trimble Road, Lick Mill Boulevard between Tasman Drive and Montague Expressway, and Scott Boulevard between Monroe Street and Saratoga Avenue as needed to implement the Council approved roadway corridor concept.
2. Condition Precedent. The authority granted under this Resolution is conditioned on and subject to the City Council's approval of a capital project to construct bicycle facilities on De La Cruz Boulevard between Montague Expressway and West Trimble Road, Lick Mill Boulevard between Tasman Drive and Montague Expressway, and Scott Boulevard between Monroe Street and Saratoga Avenue.
3. Effective date. This resolution shall become effective immediately.
