Generation Capital
Maintenance and Betterments
(1,000,000) Decreases the Generation Capital Maintenance and Betterments project by $1.0 million, from $1.9
million to $0.9 million, due to savings after
anticipated work is completed for FY 2024/25. The
$1M will be reallocated to Major Engine Overhaul
project to complete unanticipated engine work
(majority affirmative Council votes required).

Major Engine Overhaul 4,500,000 Increases the Major Engine Overhaul project by $4.5 million, from $5.7 million to $10.2 million, to
address unanticipated damages to the High-
Pressure Turbine and Low-Pressure Turbine at the
Donald Von Raesfeld Power Plant, which were
discovered during routine inspections. Additionally,
there was erosion on the shrouds at the second
stage. The two aforementioned issues made the
engine unserviceable. Currently, only one engine
remains operational. Funding is requested to
complete repairs in an effort to get the engine back
online before summer. The additional funding is
critical to restore the second engine to service and
ensure the stability of operations. Funding of $1.0
million is reallocated from savings in the Generation
Capital Maintenance and Betterments project and
the remaining $3.5 million is from fund balance (five
affirmative Council votes required for the use of
unused balances).

Unrestricted Ending Fund
