Sr. Advisory Commission Workplan
Background
At the November 17, 2025, regular meeting of the Sr. Advisory Commission, the Commission adopted workplan priorities and activities for FY 2025/26 related to the following Commission’s goals:
Goal #1: Strategic Plan for the Senior Needs Assessment Open and circulate Survey to the public
Conduct Focus Groups in multiple languages
Review data
Develop Senior Needs Assessment Plan
Connect Older Adults to resources identified within the Senior Needs Assessment Survey Goal #2: Advocate for Housing Regulations for Older Adults in Santa Clara Propose regulation modifications to City Council, to protect Older Adults in rental properties Current Membership
Meetings are held generally on the 3rd Monday of the month at 5:00 p.m. at the Senior Center

Purpose, Role and Duties of Senior Advisory Commission:
The Senior Advisory Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in matters affecting people age 50 and older in the City, including health, education, employment, housing, transportation and recreation. The Commission consists of seven Commissioners that are volunteers and are appointed by the City Council.
