RESOLUTION NO. 26-9540
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA,
DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA WITH REGARD TO
OFFICIAL MATTERS OF PRISM
WHEREAS, the City is a member of the Public Risk Innovation, Solutions, and Management Joint Powers Authority (PRISM) for insurance and risk management services; WHEREAS, PRISM has determined that it is necessary for each member entity of the Authority to designate a person or position to whom authority is delegated to act on the member entity’s behalf in matters relating to its membership in PRISM;
WHEREAS, except as to those actions that must be approved by the City Council of the City of Santa Clara, such delegation of authority is necessary in order to carry out the purposes and functions of PRISM with its members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council therefore deems it to be in the best interest of the City to delegate authority as set forth below.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA AS FOLLOWS:
1. That except as to actions that must be approved by the City Council of the City of Santa Clara, the following City positions are hereby delegated authority to act on behalf of the City of Santa Clara with regard to official matters relating to its membership in PRISM, and coverages provided thereunder: City Manager, Human Resources Director, Risk Manager, and their respective designee(s).
2. Effective date. This resolution shall become effective immediately.
I HEREBY CERTIFY THE FOREGOING TO BE A TRUE COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED
AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF HELD ON THE 1QTH DAY OF MARCH, 2026, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE:
