RE: March 10, 2026 Agenda

Item 2D 26-258: Action on City Bills and Claims Report for period January 10, 2026 – February 6, 2026.

Question #1: What is the diƯerence between the two highlighted items – one is $49k and the other is $535k:

The lines are separated because more than one funding source was used to pay the invoice (Police Grant Fund and the Vehicle Replacement Fund). Attached are further details of the Purchase Order and invoice for your background and reference to this purchase. It should be noted that in accordance with the City Charter, the City Auditor’s OƯice also reviews all disbursements from the City to ensure proper support and invoice for payments.

Question #2: How much has been charged to Stadium Authority General and Administrative Costs for Super Bowl and FIFA special event planning? Response: To-date, since May 2023, Stadium Authority has reimbursed the City for staƯ time spent working on the 2026 major events and travel costs in the amount of $1,410,823.

This includes time for the Executive Director’s OƯice (CMO), Treasurer's OƯice (Finance Dept.), and Authority Counsel (CAO). The Stadium Authority has also reimbursed the City for staƯ time and travel-related public safety costs for Super Bowl LIIX and Super Bowl LIX.

As staƯ informed the City Council and the public in 2024 and 2025, the Bay Area Host Committee and the Forty Niners SC Stadium Company, LLC agreed to cover a significant portion of the training and travel costs for the City’s public safety staƯ to participate in the Visiting Public Safety OƯicer Program. The Bay Area Host Committee has also reimbursed the City for additional SBLX and FIFA trainings. It is important to note that the Police and Fire departments sent additional staƯ to certain SBLX and FIFA trainings because the covered tactics and information was beneficial for staƯ development for other City and future stadium events.
