City of SantaClara
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends (SCCLFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supplementing public funding to expand and enhance the Santa Clara City Library’s programs & services; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends is to enrich lifelong learning by supporting the Santa Clara City Library; and WHEREAS, the SCCLFF actively seeks gifts, grants, and bequests and the organization also raises funds through the sale of donated used books. Funds raised are spent on classes, events, and resources.; and WHEREAS, since 2001, SCCLFF has raised over $4 million dollars and continues to be a valuable resource and partner for libraries. 2026 marks the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary to be celebrated at a fundraising Gala on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Triton Museum of Art.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, LISA M. GILLMOR, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor, and on behalf of the City of Santa Clara, do hereby recognize and commend the
SANTA CLARA LIBRARY FOUNDATION AND FRIENDS
in the City of Santa Clara and thank them for over 25 years of support to our City libraries and residents.
