I believing in giving back to my community. As a previous commisioner 8+ years on the Senior Advisory Commssion in Santa Clara l am familiar with profocols, expectations and procedures. I was also appointed to the special committee to determine, redrawing and making recommendation for the city new voting districts.
My hope is to bring my experiences and personel knowledge to the commission.

11 years in Personnel as a Personnel Manager - Agnews Development Facility. Experience in determining salaries schedules, benefits and budgets.
17 years of experience with State Compensaton Insurance Fund as a senior claims adjustor/Auditor Manager administering benefits, investagations, Staff co-supervisor for staff department of 50. Familiar with labor contracts and benefits. Happy to answer any additional questions during the interview in more detail if needed I currently oversee a multiple million dollar business operation with no operations in the city of Santa Clara with no conflict of interest concerning this position. I have been a resident of Santa Clara for 48 years.

I am interested in serving on the Civil Service Commission because I want to become a more engaged Santa Clara resident and contribute to the City in a way that aligns with my professional experience and values. After going through the Parks and Recreation Commission interview process, my interest in public service has only grown, I appreciated the opportunity to participate in the civic process, and 1 would be grateful for the chance to continue pursuing a role where I can serve the community in a meaningful and responsible way.
The Civil Service Commission interests me because its work is rooted in fairess, accountability, process, and public trust. Throughout my career, I have worked in leadership and service roles where consistency, documentation, thoughtful review, and objective decision-making were essential. I have led teams, reviewed complex issues, supported training and process improvement, and worked across different groups to help ensure decisions were practical, fair, and well-supported
contribute in a way that is informed, balanced, and useful.
While I do not have prior municipal civil service experience, I would bring a strong service mindset, professional judgment, and a sincere willingness to listen, learn, and do the work thoughtfully. I would be honored to serve Santa Clara in this capacity and to contribute to a commission that supports fairness, integrity, and trust in City government.

would want the Citv Council to know that I would take this role seriousiv and come into it prepared, thoughtful, and willing to learn. While my background is not in municipal goverment, much of my career has involved work where fairness, good judgment, confidentiality, and clear decision-making mattered.
I have spent years working across different teams, listening to different perspectives, asking questions, solving problems, and helping make processes more consistent and easier to follow. I think those experiences would translate well to the Civil Service Commission, especially in a role where objectivity, accountability, and trust in the process are so appointed, I would not come in assuming I know everything. I would take the time to learn the City's civil service rules inderstand the responsibilities of the Commission, and contribute in a steady and constructive way. I see this as meaninaful opportunity to serve Santa Clara while continuing to become a more engaged and informed member of the community.
