Dear Mr. Filizetti:
On behalf of the City of Santa Clara, thank you, Devcon Construction, Inc. and to you Mr. Filizetti, for the generous sponsorship of our Where the Mission Meets the Moment campaign. Your partnership played an important role in helping us engage our community during this historic year as Santa Clara welcomed the world through major international sporting events, the Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup.
As the campaign's Premier Partner and highest-level sponsor, Devcon Construction, Inc., and your investment played a pivotal role in the campaign's success and demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the Santa Clara community.
Your sponsorship of the City's free community watch parties has made it possible for residents to come together and experience the excitement of the tournament in welcoming, family-friendly settings. The City is hosting a full-day watch party at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for the Round of 16, three days of watch parties at the Santa Clara Convention Center for the quarterfinal matches, and watch parties during the final Night Market for the semifinal and championship matches. By making these events free and accessible to the public, your partnership is creating opportunities for thousands of community members to celebrate together and be part of this historic moment.
The Where the Mission Meets the Moment campaign was built on the idea that the excitement surrounding these global events should bring our community together, creating lasting benefits for our community. Through the campaign, we sought to engage residents and strengthen relationships with community organizations and stakeholders. Your sponsorship was instrumental in creating opportunities for people to come together, celebrate Santa Clara, and share in the excitement of this once-in-a-generation moment.
While we are grateful for your financial support, we especially value the opportunity the Where the Mission Meets the Moment campaign provided to establish and strengthen our partnership with you and Devcon Construction, Inc. Collaborating on the campaign reinforced our shared commitment to serving the Santa Clara community, and we greatly appreciated your engagement, 1500 Warburton Avenue • Santa Clara, CA 93050 • Phone: 408-615-2200 • Fax: 408-241-6771 • www.SantaClaraCA.gov Gary Filizetti - Devcon

Dear Mrs. Martin:
On behalf of the City of Santa Clara, thank you, Intel, for the generous sponsorship of our Where the Mission Meets the Moment campaign. Your partnership played an important role in helping us engage our community during this historic year as Santa Clara welcomed the world through major international sporting events, Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup.
Intel's support of STEM Zone on April 19, 2026, helped transform the event into a dynamic celebration of innovation, discovery, and community. Through your partnership, thousands of residents and families were able to experience engaging STEM programming designed to inspire curiosity, expand knowledge, and introduce young people to the exciting opportunities available in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The event welcomed more than 8,000 attendees and offered free admission, free parking, and free meals for children 12 and under, ensuring that families from across the community could participate.
Intel's event activation was one of the most popular and highly attended experiences of the day.
The car racing game and Al photo booth were consistently busy throughout the event, drawing strong engagement from attendees of all ages and creating an interactive and memorable touchpoint that added to the overall energy of STEM Zone.
Throughout the day, attendees explored interactive workshops, heard from industry experts and innovators during thought-provoking panel discussions, and discovered the many ways STEM intersects with everyday life including careers in sports and emerging technologies. Children had the unique opportunity to meet astronaut Sirisha Bandla, inspiring more than 150 young attendees, while families participated in activities such as building Mars rovers, extracting DNA, designing jerseys with the 49ers STEM Institute, creating drone missions, and exploring the science of sound. Together, these experiences fostered curiosity, creativity, and a passion for lifelong learning in the next generation of innovators.
