RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA, TO ESTABLISH A 275-FOOT NO STOPPING ANY TIME ZONE ON THE EAST SIDE OF GREGORY LANE, SOUTH OF COLLINS ROAD, AND A 250-FOOT NO
STOPPING ANY TIME ZONE ON THE WEST SIDE OF GREGORY LANE, SOUTH OF
COLLINS ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code of the State of California provides for local authorities to prohibit stopping, standing, or parking of vehicles on certain streets or highways, or portions thereof during certain or all hours of the day; and
WHEREAS, a request was made to establish a 275-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the east side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road; and
WHEREAS, a request was made to establish a 250-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the west side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road; and
WHEREAS, it is consistent with normal traffic engineering practices to establish a 275-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the east side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road; and
WHEREAS, it is consistent with normal traffic engineering practices to establish a 250-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the west side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That a 275-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the east side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road, shall be established.
SECTION 2. That a 250-foot No Stopping Any Time zone on the west side of Gregory Lane, south of Collins Road, shall be established.
SECTION 3. That the 275-foot No Stopping Any Time zone shall apply when appropriate signs giving adequate notice thereof have been placed as described in Section 1.
SECTION 4. That the 250-foot No Stopping Any Time zone shall apply when appropriate signs giving adequate notice thereof have been placed as described in Section 2.
SECTION 5. That staff shall install the necessary signs to effect this resolution.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
