SUBJECT: Draft Proposal for Via Princessa Park Plan Review Dear Leslie,
Thank you for the opportunity to assist the City on the Via Princessa Park project.
Scope of Work
Task 1 – Plans, Specification and Estimate (PS&E) Review MNS Engineers, Inc. (MNS) will perform plan, specification and estimate review for the following improvements:
• Bank Lining (Approx. 2000’) – Plan and Profile, Sections & Details • Diversion Structure – Plan, Sections and Details
• Stormwater Treatment Facilities - Plans and Details
• Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB) Extension – Plan and Profile, Section and Details • Temporary Creek Diversion – Plan and Details
We will confirm that the proposed improvements are coordinated with the park improvements.
The project will have 30%, 60%, 90%, 100% and Final submittals (5 Total.) Task 2 – Document Review
We will review the following documents to confirm that the improvements meet the appropriate standards and requirements for each submittal:
• Environment Document
• Hydrology and Hydraulic Report for Santa Clara River Improvements • Hydrology and Hydraulic Report for Drainage Facilities • Geotechnical Report for proposed improvements
• Drainage Facility Structural Calculations
• Stormwater Treatment Calculations
• Standard Urban Stormwater Mitigation Plan (SUSMP)
Task 3 – Coordination and Meeting
We will meet with City staff and consultant to review comments. (Up to 8 Meetings) We will coordinate with City staff through the design process (approx. 2 years) and respond to inquiries from the City and design consultant.
Schedule
Plan review will be performed within three weeks after receipt of all required plans, specifications, estimates and documents.
Staffing
Plan review will be led by me with assistance from Sam Potts, PE, QSD/QSP – Project Engineer.
Fee
The fee for the scope of work defined in this letter is $70,640. A detailed cost breakdown is attached.

2 – Document Review $26,080
3 – Coordination and Meetings $12,000
