WELCOME
A welcome message was provided by City Manager Ken Striplin.
INVOCATION
Pastor David Hegg from Grace Baptist Church provided the invocation.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Laurene Weste at 3:35 p.m.
ROLL CALL
All Councilmembers were present.
FLAG SALUTE
Golden Valley High School Air Force Junior ROTC posted the colors, Congressman Mike Garcia led the flag salute, and the Saugus High School Marching Centurions played the National Anthem.
STATE OF THE CITY
Mayor Laurene Weste welcomed dignitaries and the audience to the 2022 State of the City. Brief remarks were made and video presentations by each Councilmember were shown.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
Joshua Straschewski regarding homelessness; Missy (no last name given) regarding the State of the City; Jeffrey Malick regarding the homeless shelter; and Elaine Ballace.
ADJOURN
The meeting was adjourned at 4:38 p.m.
