CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Gibbs called to order the Special Meeting at 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
All Councilmembers were present.
PUBLIC PARTICIPATION FOR AGENDIZED ITEMS
Addressing the Council were Kody Amour regarding the existing litigation matter and Douglas (no last name provided) regarding anticipated litigation matters.
CLOSED SESSION
Joseph Montes, City Attorney, announced that the anticipated litigation matter does not involve manufactured housing and advised of the need to conduct a Closed Session for the purpose of holding a:

RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION - TO BE HELD IN THE CARL BOYER ROOM Mayor Gibbs recessed the meeting to Closed Session at 5:32 p.m.
RECONVENE TO OPEN SESSION
Mayor Gibbs reconvened the meeting to Open Session at 6:01 p.m.
CITY ATTORNEY ANNOUNCEMENT
City Attorney Joseph Montes announced that the City Council voted 5-0 to join the Whittier and other cities' challenge to the zero bail system in place by the Los Angeles Superior Court and authorize the law firm of Jones Mayer to represent the City in that matter.
