RESOLUTION NO. 24-_______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA,
CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE DESIGNATION OF THE CITY OF SANTA CLARITA
AS A CLEAN CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Clarita, (City) united by a shared vision for a cleaner, greener community, seeks to elevate our community to a healthier quality of life; and
WHEREAS, the City aspires to maintain a commitment to cleanliness and environmental stewardship; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, in its pursuit of a cleaner, greener existence, has established the Clean California Community designation as a testament to communities that exemplify these values.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Clarita, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City solemnly pledges to pursue the criteria of becoming a designated Clean California Community.
SECTION 2. The City solemnly pledges to uphold the principles of the Clean California Community program, dedicating ourselves to fostering a community marked by cleanliness, sustainability, and civic pride.
SECTION 3. Through our collective efforts, the City pledges to maintain a clean, green, and vibrant community for the betterment of all residents.
SECTION 4. This resolution is effective immediately upon adoption.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.
