SUBJECT: RETIREMENT RESOLUTION FOR DISPATCHER II VONDA DAMORE RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council adopt a Resolution commending Dispatcher II Vonda Damore for her 25 years of outstanding service to the City of Santa Maria and congratulating her on her retirement.
BACKGROUND:
Vonda Damore has been employed by the City of Santa Maria since October 6, 1997. The Santa Maria Police Department would like to recognize Vonda for her 28 years of law enforcement service, which includes her 25 years of dedicated public service to the City of Santa Maria, it residents, and its businesses.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA,
CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING DISPATCHER II VONDA DAMORE FOR HER 25 YEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA
AND CONGRATULATING HER ON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Vonda Damore has been employed by, and has faithfully served, the City of Santa Maria since October 6, 1997, as a dedicated public servant exemplifying service, professionalism, and dedication to the law enforcement profession; and WHEREAS, Vonda Damore spent her public safety career with the City as a Training Coordinator, Dispatcher, and Senior Dispatcher; and
WHEREAS, Vonda Damore's calm and professional demeanor, while on the radio and 911 calls, have exemplified her commitment to serving the public with compassion and professionalism; and
WHEREAS, Vonda Damore's commitment and devotion to duty have contributed measurably to the quality of life that residents, businesses, and visitors enjoy in Santa Maria.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, as follows:
"VONDA DAMORE"
is commended for her faithful, distinguished, and devoted service to the Santa Maria community, is congratulated on her retirement, and she and her family are wished good health and many years of happiness.
