SUBJECT: PRESENTATION — FEDERAL ADVOCATE
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council receive a presentation from its Federal Advocate to provide an update on past, present, and future legislative actions.
BACKGROUND:
Thorn Run Partners is a recognized leader among the next generation of government affairs firms and approaches every challenge with a comprehensive arsenal of skills, strategies, and tactics. Comprised of dozens of government relations professionals, each with a unique background and expertise, Thorn Run Partners relies on experience, creativity, and competence to achieve positive legislative and regulatory outcomes. In particular, Greg Burns has assisted the City for many years. His knowledge, relationships, and expertise have ensured the City stays apprised of Federal activities that have an impact on Santa Maria. He also connects the City to opportunities for project funding and advocacy.
DISCUSSION:
Thorn Run Partners, Greg Burns, will be making the presentation to provide an update on progress to this point and an inside look at what is upcoming.
