SUBJECT: PRESENTATION — CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY ENERGY
ANNUAL MEMBER AGENCY UPDATE
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council receive a presentation from Central Coast Community Energy to provide its annual member agency update.
BACKGROUND:
Local communities established Central Coast Community Energy (3CE) to source clean and renewable electricity at competitive prices for customers throughout Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara counties. 3CE is locally controlled and governed by board members who represent communities served by the agency.
The City is a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) member of 3CE. Mayor Patino serves on its Policy Board and City Manager Stilwell serves on its Operating Board and its Energy Risk Management Oversight Committee. The 3CE staff is committed to providing an annual update to each of its 33 JPA member agencies which have helped to create one of the most impactful and innovative community choice energy agencies in California. Judy Young, Senior Customer Accounts Manager, will share a PowerPoint Presentation including an overview of the past year's activities, accomplishments, and upcoming outlooks and strategies.
