RESOLUTION NO. 2023-__
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA,
CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING WATER SYSTEM OPERATOR II
THOMAS “TIM” MCNULTY FOR 33 YEARS OF EXEMPLARY SERVICE
WHEREAS, Thomas “Tim” McNulty has been a valuable member of the City of Santa Maria (“City”) team since 1990; and
WHEREAS, Mr. McNulty became the second certified Water System Operator in the City’s history; and
WHEREAS, Mr. McNulty provided over 33 years of service in the Public Works Department, and later the Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Mr. McNulty helped facilitate operations for the City to receive State Water, developed and implemented the Flushing Program at the Blending and Disinfecting Facility, and participated in and witnessed new water wells drilled and reservoirs built to preserve and protect the City’s water supplies while accommodating growth of the community; and
WHEREAS, Mr. McNulty retired on June 2, 2023 and the Santa Maria City Council wishes to recognize him for his lasting contributions to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED , by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, as follows:
“THOMAS ‘TIM’ MCNULTY”
is hereby recognized and commended for his 33 years of exemplary service to the residents and businesses in Santa Maria, and we wish him and his family well in all their future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Santa Maria held on this 18th day of July 2023.
