This crosswalk needs signs (W11-2 and W16-7P) and the crosswalk should be restriped as a Ladder Crosswalk. Install Yield lines (Shark’s Teeth) and Yield Here to Pedestrian signs (R1-5). Install W11-2 and W16-7P signs on each side of the road for both directions. Parking on Alvin Avenue should be restricted to maintain line of sight.
This site is a good candidate for bulbouts or curb extensions. Alvin Avenue can be reduced in width to accommodate a road diet.
