Uncontrolled and Mid-Block Crosswalk Improvements
Project Summary
• How?:
• Improving visibility and accessibility at crosswalks located at uncontrolled intersections and mid-block crosswalks.
• These crosswalks are typically at locations where
drivers are not anticipating pedestrian traffic.
• Leverage low-cost high-value proven safety measures such as high-visibility signage and striping aimed at reducing incidents of pedestrian/vehicle collisions.
• Installation of ADA ramps at crosswalks.
• Project in alignment with the Local Roadway Safety Plan adopted by Council.
• There are other projects that require more engineering that are not on this project list (Donovan & Western).
