RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MARIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA
TO ENTER INTO FUTURE AGREEMENTS FOR LAW
ENFORCEMENT SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA MARIA
AND LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City has been providing law enforcement services for local school districts and both the City and the aforementioned districts may desire to continue these partnerships as it relates to law enforcement services, and have agreed in principle as to the cost for services and the scope of work; and
WHEREAS, both the City and local school districts may desire to enter into agreements to establish their rights and duties with respect to providing regular and supplemental law enforcement services for the local school districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, that the City Council authorizes the following:
1. The City Council of the City of Santa Maria hereby authorizes the Chief of Police, or his designee, to enter into future such agreements, extensions, and execute amendments consistent with the terms of the agreements, in order to comply with billing rates set forth by the City of Santa Maria.
