RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, CANCELLING THE
REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2023
WHEREAS, the City Council meets on a regular schedule twice a month , on the first and third Tuesdays; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority to cancel meetings when necessary; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that due to the annual League of California Cities Conference in Sacramento and the travel time necessary to attend the conference that cancelling the September 19 th City Council meeting is necessary as a majority of the City Council and a number of executive staff will be attending the Conference to receive annual legislative updates, training, continuing education credits, and municipal partner coordination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria that the September 19, 2023, City Council meeting is cancelled.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, held this 15th day of August 2023.
