RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH DEWBERRY
ENGINEERS, INC. TO PREPARE A PROJECT STUDY REPORT
FOR THE US 101/SR 166 MAIN STREET INTERCHANGE
WHEREAS, the US 101/SR 166 Main Street interchange is a junction point of two heavily travelled state highways in the City of Santa Maria; and
WHEREAS, a Project Initiation Document/Project Study Report (PSR) is the first step in the Caltrans project development process of identifying a solution for a specific transportation deficiency; and
WHEREAS, a PSR is required prior to utilizing state or federal funds for capital improvements on or near the State Highway System; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans is responsible for PSR development and oversight developed by resources outside the agency; and
WHEREAS, following a Request for Proposals, Dewberry Engineers, Inc. , was found to be responsive and most qualified to prepare the PSR.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to approve and execute on behalf of the City a Professional Services Agreement with Dewberry Engineers, Inc. and
2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing s o, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
