Mayor Patino called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

3. RECESS-CLOSED SESSION
3.a Public Employment Appointment - Interim City Manager, Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957(b)(1)
Mayor Patino recessed to a Closed Session at 5:30 p.m. for Public Appointment - Interim City Manager, Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957(b)(1).

The invocation was not given.
6. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmember Escobedo led the Pledge of Allegiance.
7. REPORT BY THE CITY ATTORNEY FROM CLOSED SESSION
City Attorney Watson reported that a candidate was unanimously selected by the City Council for the Interim City Manager position. The City Manager would negotiate a contract, which will be brought before the City Council for approval on October 3, 2023.
8. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the City Council, Mayor Patino declare d the City Council meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
