Next Steps
• That the City Council reviews and collectively prioritize the proposals and provides Staff with the Council’s top three projects.
• Tonight’s feedback will provide the Block Grants Advisory Committee (BGAC) and potential applicants with direction as to the projects that should receive priority for the upcoming funding cycle.
• Results from tonight’s ranking does not mean that agencies which are not in the top three cannot continue to apply for funding. It just provides these agencies with a bit more information as they move forward.
• Tonight’s information provided by the City Council will be one of the various tools used by the BGAC to make its determination for 2024-25 CDBG funding. • The BGAC will review all applications which will be submitted in December, conduct site visits, and deliberate. The committee’s recommendations will be presented to the City Council for final approval in April 2024.
