Marian Regional Medical Center continues to grow as the community grows. As we have indicated at many public events, housing for our employees and physicians is a critical issue in our recruitment process. As one of the largest employers in the City, we plead with the City Council to help develop areas for future growth. We want our City to have excellent healthcare providers, but we can only do that if there are houses for them to live in and buildings for them to work in. Our workforce will continue to grow over the next few years as we add another tower and continue to grow our trauma and general medical services. That workforce needs places to live and raise families.
We support the recommendation approved by the Planning Commission on September 6, 2023 with the Modified Alternative C Plan and ask that you give your approval to this plan.
