SUBJECT: Second Reading of Ordinance No. 2023 -03 Approving Water and Sewer Rates Commencing Each January 1 from 2024 through 2027
Description:
The City Council will conduct the second reading to approve water and sewer rates commencing each January 1 from 2024 through 2027.
Environmental Notice: The activity is not a “Project” as defined under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines; therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3) no environmental review is required.
RECOMMENDATION:
Conduct the second reading to approve water and sewer rates commencing each January 1 from 2024 through 2027.
BACKGROUND:
At its regular meeting held October 17, 2023, the City Council r eceived a Staff Presentation regarding water and sewer rates; conducted a Public Hearing; determined no majority protest exists; and introduced Ordinance No. 2023-03 approving water and sewer rates commencing each January 1 from 2024 through 2027.
DISCUSSION:
This constitutes the second reading of Ordinance No. 2023 -03. This Ordinance will become effective 30 days after City Council approval.
