RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN
INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ALLAN
HANCOCK COLLEGE JOINT COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, California Education Code, Title V allows California community college districts to claim full-time equivalent students and state apportionment for courses provided through an Instructional Services Agreement (ISA); and
WHEREAS, the ISA provides the opportunity for the Fire Department to receive funds for the continuing on-the-job training of eligible employees; and
WHEREAS, such funds will be utilized for additional training opportunities, outside instructors, and training materials; and
WHEREAS, the activity is not a “Project” as defined und er Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act State Guidelines; therefore, pursuant to State Guidelines Section 15060(c)(3) no environmental review is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. Authorize and designate the Interim City Manager, or designee, to enter into an Instructional Services Agreement with Allan Hancock College Joint Community College District; and
2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical errors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
