RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MARIA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE 2025 GRANT
PROGRAM CYCLE OF THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC
SAFETY SELECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM
GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria desires to provide additional traffic safety services for City residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Maria has determined that it is in the public interest to seek and apply for supplemental funding sources for the purposes of public safety; and
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Maria, California, as follows:
1. The City Manager or designee, is her eby authorized to submit a grant application, appropriate and expend f unds awarded to the Santa Maria Police Department pursuant to the California Office of Traffic Safety Selective Traffic Enforcement Grant Program; and
2. The Chief Deputy City Clerk is hereby authorized to make m inor changes herein to address clerical err ors, so long as substantial conformance of the intent of this document is maintained. In doing so, the Chief Deputy City Clerk shall consult with the City Manager and City Attorney concerning any changes deemed necessary.
