*** EXTERNAL EMAIL: Please use caution when opening links or attachments.*** hi please pass this on to whom can help.i live in casa del rio est .park was just taken over by new company called the star companies .we had to sign a rental agreement with old owner trying to get us to settle on a 3 percent increase which we did.at this time you were considering rent control but then thought 3 percent was fair so you dropped consideration .now our new owners want to charge 3 percent plus cost of living increase but instead of our area at 3or 4 percent we had to pay LA cost which was 7.8 s o our rent was 850.with and increase of 91 dollars a total of 941.00 and now the new owners want to charge the same but add 130.00 because of a tax increase to them now our rent is 11 hundred dollars .now i dont know how they did the math but this is far more that 850 plus 81 total 941 .00 . if its 3 percent plus cost of living increase is 3 percent this year and they said 130.00 for taxes 11 hundred doesn't sound like a right total .to me .now i thought ca had a law that you couldnt increase rent over a hundred a month im i wrong .many in our park are single now living or trying to live on not very much so i now many will stop eating or taking there medications and turn there heating down to freeze and get sick.now i just watched on tv the HUD had come into a park in santa Barbra and rebuilt a ladys trailer because she could not afford to when she only makes a thousand a month on ssi so how well do you think she and others here will live with rent at 11hundred this doesnt include gas and electric.so pleas e see if our park is fair please dont use my name and i think you can now relize the urgent need for rent control to be passed thank you for your help and understanding ..Robert
